In the tuff and basaltic hills of the wide basin of the Alpone Valley, near the center of which the modern wine cellar stands, with an area of 7,000 square meters devoted to the various departments of drying, fermentation, aging and sparkling making, up to bottling and storage.
The company works every year about 6,000 tons of grapes, obtained from approximately 60 hectares of vineyards owned and 25 hectares of well–selected local farmers who work in close relationship with the Marcato.
The wisdom of the land and passion: these are the cornerstones of the production of Marcato wines, a family–run company, attentive to innovation, projected into the future with the enthusiasm and determination of the new generations.
Each wine of the Marcato has its own soul and its own history, written by the harmony between each grape variety and the characteristics of the area where the vineyard is cultivated, and by the particular harmony between the vine and the ground, occurred over the centuries, refined with experience and technique.
