In 1989 Cantina Valpolicella Negrar began a detailed Quality Project, through the detection of some particularly suitable areas of Valpolicella, from which, with intensive work alongside the vinegrowers, one could obtain grapes of outstanding quality. Their careful selection has led to the emergence of important cru and of a line dedicated line to the Domìni Veneti mark.
The Cantina di Negrar brand is the soul fo Cantina Valpolicella Negrar and pays tribute to the philosophy of co–operative production, with a reminder of the historical vestiges of the area: the image of the Lion of St. Mark, placed on a column in the center of the village of Negrar, evidence of the domination of the Republic of Venice in the sixteenth century.
