The Scriani farm in Fumane is a little gem in the heart of Valpolicella, a fertile land of flavors and traditions, outlined by the rows of its renowned vineyards and grounded in the undulating landscape of rolling hills.
The Cottini family have been farmers for generations, founding their own work on the values of the peasant culture. Their passion for the land and the deep awareness of their roots have given them for years the most authentic sense of the life of each member.
Vineyards and grapes
Mandolari, Bosco, Carpan, Tondin, La Costa are grounds that include vines of an age between nine and forty years, cultivated with arbor method, single or double, for a total density of three thousand plants per hectare. Ronchiel is the latest, it has a density of four thousand and five hundred vines per hectare.
The vineyards are located in a way which takes into account not only the characteristics of the soil, but also the configuration of the surrounding forests.
The flagship of the Scriani production, Amarone, is aged eighteen months in barriques, and subsequently eight months in oak barrels and aged in bottles for another six months.
A prestigious selection that combines body, scents and tastes, from mild to intense, with unique hints given by the variety of grapes used: Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and others.
