The Casali Aurelia company is part of the Friuli Annia DOC Consortium, whose geographical area is crossed by the state road 14, the ancient Strada Annia, built in 131 BC. The viticultural vocation of the area was already known and appreciated during the Roman period as it is testified by historians of the time, as well as by the discovery in many archaeological sites of rustic villas and residential buildings with notable finds of wine amphorae.
