The 153 hectares that encircle the medieval castle are divided among vineyards, olive groves, corn and sunflower fields, meadows and woods, respecting the natural features of the land. Castel Pietraio has a natural vocation to valuable viticulture, thanks to the particular climatic conditions, the good exposure, and the passion of the owners, all amplified by the professionalism of the young oenologist, Ms. Barbara Tamburini, who has been collaborating with the company for many years with the aim of improving more and more products, environmentally friendly produce through natural fertilization, reduction of plant protection products. The winery is equipped with the best equipment for the vinification and aging of wines exclusively from their own grapes.
