The Poggio di Sotto farm is certainly considered one of the most important and most well–established firms in the district of Montalcino. Of property of the Mrs. Elisabeth and Mr. Piero Palmucci, since 1989 it can boast some of the best territories with regard to the cultivation of the Sangiovese Grosso grape variety in the southern slope of Montalcino, old vineyards in the territory of Castelnuovo dell’Abate, near the Abbey of Sant’Antimo.
A scrupolous attention of the vineyard and the winery are under the supervision of a great man of wine like Giulio Gambelli.
