The Voluntary Consortium of Protection and Enhancement of the Colli Lanuvini DOC wines was founded in 1982 with the goal of protecting and promoting the quality and the image of the wines produced in this area of the Castelli Romani which includes the territories of Genzano and Lanuvio.
The Consortium was formally recognized by the Ministry Agriculture by Decree of December 28th, 2004. Among the main activities of the Consortium:
to participate in trade fairs, exhibitions and events in Italy and abroad to raise awareness and appreciation to a wide audience wines of the associated companies;
to organize and promote the Wine Tour of the of the Lanuvini Hills with guided tastings in the wineries of the territory.
The wines of the Lanuvini Hills can be purchased and tasted at the Enoteca of the Consortium in the Medieval Tower of Lanuvio.
