via Vittorio Veneto, 1
00044 Frascati (Roma)
Italy
The Consortium was established 23rd May 1949 in the Deed of Notary Mario D’Orazi, on the initiative of 18 producers, with the Designation of "Consorzio per la difesa di vini pregiati e tipici di Frascati". Over the years and due to the precise law provisions, it has changed its name to the current "Consorzio Tutela Denominazione Frascati". It was one of the first Consortia to have the task of supervising the designation. The Mark of the Consortium consists of an eagle with outstretched wings resting with legs on a sign with the word TVSCVLUM, superimposed on a shell with volutes, surmounted by a nobiliary crown containing elements of the coats of arms of the towns of FRASCATI (crossed keys), GROTTAFERRATA (a railing) and MONTE PORZIO CATONE (a pine with crossed vines).

From the original 18 founding members, now the Consortium consists of 650 members producers representing more than 40% of the total production of Frascati.
