A story spanning over a century from 1900 and up to date in accordance with a principle: good wine springs in the vineyard and grows in the winery.
It is just the beginning of the latest century, when the grandfather Giuseppe Casali decided to transform its production of wine for the family in a real activity, focused on the enhancement of the vines and wine cellar, on the introduction of the first technologies in support of nature.
Behind the ancient Fortress of Rocca del Boiardo, in Scandiano, the original winery stood, where the grapes were pressed and the juice was left to rest in barrels to become more rewarding to the palate. In this historical winery Giuseppe and his sons have conceived wines and grape varieties that form the cornerstones of the company.
Then, around the early eighties, profound changes took place. A more appropriate place to the expanding market was needed. Thus, from the town center, the winery moved to Pratissolo di Scandiano, in the heart of the vineyards, where a wide range of crop varieties which created fine and original wines are grown.
Ten years ago the company was purchased by the families and Galaverni and Zoboli which, in 2004, joined the Accountant Boni and five years after Giovanni Sidoli. The entrepreneurial experience of the new business partners, in the field of agriculture, food and wine and high–level hotellerie, gave to Casali Viticultori new vitality. In this way, a strong propensity towards foreign markets and an intelligent synergy with local traditions and places of the accueil was created.
