The Barattieri Farm is one of the oldest in Emilia Romagna in the production of wines of the highest quality. The age–old bond with the land of Piacenza and its tradition are the basis of the skilful work of the precious grapes.
From the old and new vineyards great wines are made, that express with elegance the character of the area.
The grape harvest still manual: we collect only the best grapes in respect of the plantations.
The area planted with vines is of about 35 hectares, all located in a hilly area facing south.
The Vin Santo of our production has received prestigious awards all over Italy. Certainly, it is the "most handcrafted" wine that we produce: as well as nine years of maturation of the wine are necessary, and scholarly work procedures, handed down for centuries, before bottling. We deal directly with the entire chain of production, from the cultivation of the vine, to the grape harvest, to winemaking, to bottling and to marketing.
