Cignano wine company is named after the area in which its crops are grown: an estate in the hills of the Adriatic Sea, close to the river Metauro, near the ancient Forum Semproni. The company, with its 80,000 vines of Bianchello, Sangiovese and Montepulciano, 500 olive trees and 60 hectares of cereal crops, is located in Isola di Fano, a hamlet of Fossombrone (PU), at an altitude of 250 m above sea level, 20 km from the sea and 40 km from the Marche Apennines.
50 years of agricultural tradition, handed down from father to son: it is 1960 when Antonio and Mario Bucchini moved their first steps in winemaking. Today Annibale and Fabio continue with passion the family tradition: a farming reality grown referring to high popular wisdom, always following the saying of "do not bite off more than you can chew".
The company is constantly evolving: in recent years, it has invested heavily both in the vineyard and in the winery, and also thanks to the professionalism of the oenologist Alberto Mazzoni, who looks after the company’s quality, the Cignano wines have achieved excellent quality levels.
