Azienda Agricola Adanti is one of the historic wineries of the Montefalco area in Umbria, famous for the production of protected wines such as Sagrantino and Montefalco Rosso.
Azienda Agricola Adanti is one of the historic wineries of the Montefalco area in Umbria, famous for the production of protected wines such as Sagrantino and Montefalco Rosso. It covers about 40 hectares of land, of which 30 are vineyards and 10 olive groves, located in the hilly areas of Arquata and Colcimino, famous since ancient times for the high quality of oil and wine.
Since 1960 the company has started the renovation of the old convent of the Celestine Friars, built on the ruins of the Roman period and then of the late Renaissance, performing at the same time the replanting of old vineyards and the planting of new ones.
The winery produces mainly red wines from local grape varieties , such as Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG Dry and Raisin, and then Montefalco Rosso DOC and Arquata Rosso dell’Umbria IGT, but also continues to produce distinctive white wines such as Grechetto dei Colli Martani and Montefalco Bianco Doc.
The grapes used, mainly varieties of Sangiovese and Sagrantino, but also Cabernet, Barbera, Grechetto Merlot, come exclusively from vineyards owned.
The company has always aimed at the production of selected wines and extra virgin olive oil of quality, constantly turning the utmost care into every product, in respect of the land and its ancient traditions.
