Tenuta Riccardi produces quality wines with D.O.C. and I.G.T. of Oltrepò Pavese. The cultivation of the vine of Oltrepò dates back to ancient, prehistorical times, as proven by the discovery of a trunk of vine–fossil, an evidence of the presence of the vine, cultivated or wild, for many millennia. Founded in 1912 by the grandfather’s passion for tradition and for the genuine products, it has been handed down to his son that united this passion to the agricultural first and then of wine knowledge, and today manages this winery, a meeting point for lovers of good wine and good food, always supporting the motto that good wine is made only with good grapes. Each vineyard has been meticulously designed by choosing the composition of the soil, the density of planting, the types of farming (strictly without the usage of chemical fertilizers and pesticides) and the best selection of vines, and is followed, until the full maturation of the grapes, while the harvest and the early stages of vinification are carried out with due respect for nature, but also with the aid of avant–garde technologies that preserve the genuineness of the final product ensuring maximum organoleptic quality.
