Montecoriolano company, for a long time owned by the Casalis Douhet family, pioneers of the Marche winemaking, who in the 20s introduced international varieties like Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon at that time almost unknown in the Marche region.
The wines were sold almost all over the world and among the most prestigious clients there were the Vatican and the White House in Washington.
In the 70s the estate, not having heirs, donated in heritage its wealth (including the winery) to the Institute for the Blind Paolo Colosimo of Naples, managed by the Campania Region. Since then, the region runs the property; for some years it was decided to re–consolidate and invest in the business potential planting new vines of local and international varieties, up to the current 40 hectares, the production of bottled wines of high quality and, last but not least, the modernization of the wine machinery, and the complete renovation of the winery, a historical and wonderful farmhouse of the 19th century.
The company is also active in the field of olive growing, with the planting of thirty hectares of native mono–variety olive trees, and the construction of a modern mill for the production of DOP oils of quality.
