The Gagliardi company is one of the historic designations of Verdicchio di Matelica. It was born in the 40s and was one of the first companies engaged in the production and commercialization of Verdicchio di Matelica and the first to sell it bottled.
The geographical location, in which the wine cellar is situated, is one of the best for growing grapes. Its unique microclimate, its altitude (from 300 to 600 m) mean that all types of grapes express their best features, and this is where you will find the 15 hectares managed by the Gagliardi family including 12 Verdicchio grapes and 3 red grapes (Sangiovese, Merlot, Ciliegiolo).
The winery, moreover, buys grapes from growers of trust. So far, the winery is family–run. In the company we find Gino Gagliardi and his children, Umberto, enotechnician graduated at the school of Ascoli Piceno and engaged in production and marketing; daughter Lara at the administration.
The annual production of the winery is about 2,500 hectoliters of wine. The premises in which the vinification, storage and bottling processes occur, cover an area of 1,350 square meters divided into three rooms.
