We are in the Municipality of Modigliana, on the Romagna hills, in a surface of 15 hectares with a mix of olive groves and vineyards, wood and broom, forming an amphitheater around an old farmhouse of very ancient origins.
History tells of the existence of this Bala, already in the eighteenth century, as an agricultural reality important enough to be the residence of the “Balitore”, the person appointed by the authorities as an official responsible for the management and administration of the different estates.
Our arrival in Romagna as a family dates back to 1999 and the Bala di Zola project has as its objective the enhancement of Sangiovese di Romagna.
The work in Bala di Zola takes place first of all in the vineyard, fruit of knowledge and expertise gained and of the conviction that in this area there is everything you need to make great wines.
