POGGIO SCALETTE ESTATE becomes a wine company in 1991, when Vittorio Fiore and his wife Adriana Assjè di Marcorà buy, on the Ruffoli Hill, in the municipality of Greve in Chianti (Florence), in the heart of the production area of Chianti Classico, some plots of land and a rural farmhouse coming from an estate division and from the sale of several real estate assets, including farmhouses, lands with vineyards, olive groves, pastures and forests, almost abandoned for years after the death of the former owner.
