Prunotto is situated in Alba, the most important town of Langhe, equidistant from Barbaresco and Barolo, on the right bank of the river Tanaro, on a gentle plain surrounded by the vineyards of Langhe and Roero. Set in a landscape that captivates for the naturalness of the hills alternating with the small valleys degrading in rows around a hill.
The area where the Prunotto estate is located is fascinating and engaging not only for its scenery, its colors and the “silences” that it offers, but also for the historical heritage and the traditions that characterize it. Alba in itself, boasts baroque and Renaissance palaces, and a series of medieval towers built by the noble families of the town. The whole area, with its castles and medieval villages, has an artistic and architectural heritage among the most important and peculiar of the Piedmont region.
The Antinori family, fascinated by this context, with vineyards and special lands, decided to confront with this terroir with the conviction to begin a journey that would bring Prunotto to be, today, one of the most significant companies in the producing sector of the Piedmont wine.
The company, in effect, for a total of about 50 hectares, owns vineyards in the best wine areas of Piedmont and has a production structure equipped with the most modern technologies in order to ensure the highest quality in wines and to consolidate its position at the national and international level.
