Di Majo Norante has been producing wine from its own grapes since the nineteenth century, as evidenced by the old wineries under the square and in the old family mansion in Campomarino. The dedication to the cultivation of the vine was first inherited by Luigi and then by Alessio Di Majo and is practiced today with the passion for research and experimentation.
Di Majo Norante produces its own wines exclusively from the 85 hectares of the ancient feud of the Norante Marquises of Santa Cristina. The modern winery will be soon joined by a barrel cellar obtained from a stone barn of the seventeenth century. This is because the winemaking philosophy of Majo Norante respects the traditional approach to grape growing and wine production, in an attempt to retain all the characteristics of the grape blends of the Mediterranean Sea.
