The first batch of grapes entered the winery in September 1978. From then on, after more than 30 years of activity, about 2.500.000 quintals of must grapes have been used.
Our winemakers have given birth to this reality that, now more than in the past, it's the pride of a warm and sunny land. A land full of passion, where the producers valorise our native grapes.
In particular the 'Nero d'Avola' it's the royal local grape variety in Siclian oenology. In this island, the vine has found a natural habitat where it gives its best, as a matter of fact in this territory lays the greatest concentration of all production, thanks to the suitable growing climate and soil conditions.
We are the cooperative winegrowers' association that produces, transforms and trades the highest quantity of 'Nero d'Avola' grape in the world. Nowadays, the winery has managed to harmonize all the techniques of grape processing, from production to bottling, through wise and incredibly particular selection of the most delicious local grape varieties.
