In the heart of the philosophy that runs the company there is the research of the highest quality obtainable in respect of the tradition of the place. The human passion of the winemaker is translated into projects and long–term investments, into the patience to wait for the soil to be ready, for vines to grow, for grapes to mature – once a year – and that wine is fined.
In 1999, Paolo De Marchi and his son Luca dusted off the long Piedmontese family tradition in order to revive the legendary wines of Northern Piedmont. The first wine of the vintage, the 2004, was created in 2006.
Proprietà Sperino now has eight hectares of vineyard, at the foot of Mount Rosa. 6 are located in Lessona and are divided into the Belvedere, Ormeggio, Castagnola, Rava and Covà grape varieties. The remaining two and a half hectares are the Madonna degli Angeli grape variety in the Forte district of the Bramaterra area.
