Azienda Agricola Conte Leopardi Dittajuti farm is owned by the ancient family of the Counts Leopardi Dittajuti and has been passed down from father to son for many generations. The current owners, Piervittorio and Lidia and Leopardi, cultivate about 45 hectares of vineyards, whose grapes are vinified in the modern wine cellar, under the oenological supervision of Dr. Riccardo Cotarella. The company headquarters is in the Marche region, in Numana, in the province of Ancona, within the Park of Conero and on the southern slope of the Mount itself, in one of the most evocative areas overlooking the Adriatic Sea.
The influence of climate, particularly suitable for viticulture, and the proximity of the sea, allow the production of high quality wines. In the vineyards owned by the company, they grow mainly Montepulciano, among red grapes, and Sauvignon, among white grapes.
The yields are very low, but of high quality. They are located south of Mount Conero, in three different farms: "Svarchi", in the municipality of Numana, the "Fattoria del Coppo", in that of Sirolo, and "San Rocchetto", in the homonymous district of Castelfidardo.
The care of the vineyards, the soil characteristics, te exposure and the perfect for vines climate, mean that the grapes produced by the company have a great and constant quality and give wines that stand out for their uniqueness, elegance and the intensity of aromas.
The Harvest is done with careful selection of grapes, which are immediately transported to the wine cellar and softly pressed.
The musts thus obtained are fermented, with activation of selected yeasts, in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, preserving the typical and varietal aromas. The Winery is an example of modern winemaking technology. Thanks to the stainless steel equipment used and the sterile environment in which they work, healthy and long–lived wines are naturally obtained.
