Situated below the halls of the noble wing of the Castle, the historic wine cellars, with different construction styles, show two characteristic infernot – architectural jewels carved into tufa to preserve the most precious bottles of wine – a display of century–old bottles along with a set of tools of a “master cooper”.
A commemorative plaque reminds that the remains of Blessed Don G. Allamano – founder of the Consolata Order – were preserved there during the entire Second World War.
