Azienda Vinicola Il Pianzio

Il Pianzio company of Guglielmo and Vittorio Selmin, located on the southern slope of Mount Rua, inside the flora and fauna complex of the Euganean Hills Park, overlooks the small and sunny valley of Pianzio in the town of Galzignano Terme, from which it takes its name.

The working group is formed by the two brothers, Guglielmo and Vittorio, their wives Marzia and Mariagrazia and their parents, founders of the company, Eugenio and Norma, who still contribute actively in the daily work. Everyone has their specific task in the business, which favors attitudes and passions: Guglielmo follows primarily the work in the field, Vittorio is the expert winemaker, while Marzia and Mariagrazia deal with the welcoming of customers and tastings.



NOT ONLY PASSION



The Selmin brothers have managed in recent years to combine a passion for their territory with the most advanced technology in the field of wine. Without destroying the environment that houses the 15 hectares of vineyards of their company – covering, for example, terraced crops in respect of the old systems and strictly harvesting grapes by hand – they have made of the combination of craftsmanship and research the motto of their work.

Il Pianzio Winery offers white and red wines typical of the hilly area which obtained, for their value, several awards in local and not only wine events. It can boast, thanks to this, to belong to industry associations of reference for the Euganean area like the D.O.C. Wines Consortium, the Euganean Hills Wine Road and the Wine Tourism Movement.
