La Salceta: a small company in the area of Setteponti in Valdarno di Sopra, which produces special wines, very refined, from boutique. In the business plan, wine stems from the vineyard, which is made manually and receives almost manic attention. Organic wines, two red wines and a rosé wine, which reach the desired levels of aroma, body and pleasantness with a careful vinification that takes place exclusively in stainless steel vats. The wide use of the best temperatures in long fermentations and long periods of aging in bottles allow the high levels of quality achieved. The use of the most cutting–edge technologies in the company is the pendant in these production decisions.
Guado al Melo is located in the heart of the Bolgheri designation, on the Tuscan coast. The company is run by Michele Scienza and his family, winegrowers for generations. Michele's father, Attilio, teaches viticulture at the University of Milan and brought to Guado al Melo his extensive wine library, around which an interesting cultural–historical path between the vineyards and the winery, completely underground, has been created.
The vineyards comprise about 30 hectares of surface. The terroir is particularly suitable for producing complex and elegant wines, thanks to the alluvial and rich in structure soil and the Mediterranean climate cooled by a strong temperature range in summer. The production of grapes is managed with particular attention to the healthiness of people and of the environment, thanks to integrated agriculture. Vinification is traditional, without any additions nor corrections that alter the natural characteristics of the grapes.
