OUR STORY
The story of this plot of land began around the 20s, when Albano Durante and his wife Ida purchased and managed a dozen hectares. Later, between the two world wars, these plots were sold and passed from hand to hand, slowly were bought by the owners who purchased the adjacent lands up to the current surface of about 50 hectares around the 80s.
In 1990 Tenuta Bosco Albano was purchased again by the Durante family that believed in the potentialities of this land and performed a thorough company renovation transforming a business reality of mainly arable land into one with a totally winegrowing vocation.
Today there are about 45 hectares of vineyards, mainly with white grape variety, surrounded by hedges, ditches and woods.
The low plains surrounded by rivers in which the estate is located, were once forests of beech, poplar and oak trees that offered excellent wood that was used in the construction of Venice and later by the Serenissima Republic to achieve its impressive naval fleet.
The soils, rich in marl and clays, have been used since the early twentieth century and up to 1980, in order to extract the raw material for the Rivarotta furnace, still visible today and an example of industrial archeology.
TERRITORY
Equidistant from the foothills of the Alps and the Adriatic Sea, about 45 km far, Tenuta Bosco Albano enjoys a favorable microclimate, thanks to the presence of an underground aquifer, the exposure to sunlight and the gentle slopes, which offer a constant well–being of the vineyards, resulting in a collection of selected and quality grapes; the mostly clayey soil helps to obtain rich and of excellent quality grapes.
PHILOSOPHY
Only our own grapes are processed, in a completely independent production, we chose to obtain a contained yield per hectare, through, if necessary, a decisive reduction of the amount of clusters with short pruning and the practice of manual thinning.
VARIETIES LINE
Our line of varietal wines wants to bring the work of the vineyard in every bottle.
In the process of transformation, making wine exclusively from our grapes, we enhance their quality leaving to the winery the delicate task of being the cradle in which wines develop and mature.
The goal is to bring out the best varietal characteristics typical of the grapes and to produce pleasant to drink wines.
In this line we only produce mono–varietal wines provided by the DOC Grave Friuli, we chose to produce four white and four red wines because we believe that these are the varieties that best express themselves in the area.
RESERVES LINE
Selected grapes, long fermentation and aging in barrels, blends and, then, aging in bottles.
Our reserves are produced in limited quantities and only in the best vintages, the barrel cellar and the aging cellar are underground and allow a refinement in constant temperature and humidity during all months of the year.
A classic method from Pinot Nero and Chardonnay grapes, a Red Wine from a classic Bordeaux blend that celebrates Albano, the founder of the estate, a White Wine obtained from Sauvignon grapes from old vines and a raisin wine from Picolit and Verduzzo grapes: these are our most valuable gems.
MARTINOTTI LINE
Our Martinotti method sparkling wines represent our desire to toast to celebrate joyful moments.
Our fresh and fruity Prosecco Doc is the King of the appetizers and we try to reach with it the utmost pleasure and easiness to drink.
Ida 1903 celebrates the wife of Albano, a long Martinotti method from Chardonnay and Pinot Nero grapes, that rests in an autoclave for at least four months and gives it complexity and elegance while maintaining a great freshness.
BOSCAIA LINE
The Boscaia line was created with the goal of producing a white and a red wine easy to drink that represent the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, then the territory of the company itself.
Both products are obtained from the union of three different varietal wines in different proportions that vary depending on the vintage.
Why Boscaia? The Boscaia term was used in the past to identify a specific area inside the company where in the past there where, precisely, Woods (Boschi).
Pitars winery is a family-owned business known for its dedication to crafting high-quality wines using traditional methods. Three generations and a history spanning four decades have transformed a small winery into a great reality on the Friulian wine scene. It is the remote 1969, in effect, when Paron Mario, aready hotelier and restaurateur in Carnia, decided to buy the first vineyards near Dolegna del Collio to experiment the production of some wines to offer to its customers. The Fantinel company was founded in this way, by a man’s passion, by the enthusiasm of a true entrepreneur able to look ahead and anticipate market trends.
Times speak of transformation, more and more modern technology and especially of an audience that towards the wine world proves to be more and more demanding and qualified. That is why in 1973, Luciano, Gianfranco and Loris decided to believe in the same dream of their father Mario continuing to expand the landed property of the family with new precious vineyards of the D.O.C. Collio, Grave and Colli Orientali del Friuli. In total, 16 hectares that over the years reached up to 300, the expression of a production reality based on the vinification of exclusive vines of property, authentic expressions of territories suited to the cultivation of vines and perfect microclimates for an excellent ripening of the fruits. This results in collections of top quality wines that can differentiate themselves even in the wide world panorama, where they stand out as the right compromise between the historic tradition of Friulian wines and the desire of innovation, which today manifests itself in the dynamic passion rooted in Marco, Stefano and Mariaelena. In effect, it is with the great efforts of the third generation that Fantinel can be included among the most important Italian wineries: in terms of quality, quantity of investments.
The elegant location of Tauriano di Spilimbergo, a model for viticulture and for hospitality surrounded by vineyards, has became the heart of a company that grow continuously, the true center from which everything is decided and everything is produced. From here, it is possible to look over the horizon to a future full of projects that travel across the ocean and today can boast a more and more expanding production.
Making wine is not how to make nails or light bulbs, where to guarantee the product it is enough to ensure the accuracy of the program and the machine.
Making wine brings into play an almost innumerable amount of factors, each of which determines the nature and quality of the result: heaven and earth, wet and dry, fog and snow, and then, of course, the most in–depth technical knowledge; in short, to make a good wine we need a knowledge continuously allied to a kind of human wisdom that can be reached with experiences, mistakes, changes and insights that belong not so much to a job, but to a profession continually keen to improve herself.
This is what the Bergamo family has been seeking to implement in its fifty years of experience in wine. In this regard Ca’ Selva has a main road, clearly identified in its motto:
Humanae artis natura magistra.
The Latin phrase, fully translated, means that nature is necessarily mistress of all human art, and the word ars, artis, in Latin, means a technique which includes, in its making, including insights and inventions, elements indispensable for any result that is not mere reproduction of a model.
Thus, the first choice of the company, which since was founded, in the wide grave under the mountains of Friuli, practices the organic cultivation of vines, in accordance with its philosophy of production; from which also the decision to accompany, in the label of its bottles, the traditional name of the grape variety with a designation of Friuli that highlights, poetically, the distinctive quality obtained thanks to the current wine making technique.

The Ca’ Selva wines do not betray nature, of which they know to be privileged children.
Terre di Ger is a family-owned winery that specializes in producing high-quality wines using traditional methods. Their vineyards are carefully tended to and their grapes are hand-picked to ensure only the best fruit goes into their wines. With a focus on sustainability, they use only organic and biodynamic practices in the vineyard. The winery offers a range of red, white, and rosé wines, each with its own unique flavor profile. Visitors can enjoy a tasting in their rustic and charming tasting room or take a tour of the vineyards and winery.
Taking over the historic FORCHIR company Gianfranco Bianchini and Enzo Deana wanted to fulfill a project: to produce quality wines with the concept of "terroir": the interaction between variety and environment, something that can not be duplicated in other areas. In those soil/climate conditions the vines can express their full potential. A synergistic relationship among soil/climate/vine.
– Here are, then, the three equipped agricultural centers (Felettis, Camino and Spilimbergo) with the vine cultivation with low environmental impact, in accordance with the requirements of EC Regulation no. 2078 which provides for the drastic reduction of fertilizers and pesticides.
– Here is the winery of Flumignano, where in September/October all the grapes produced arrive, with soft presses, automatic temperature control, winemaking in the absence of sulfur dioxide.
– Here is the modern bottling plant of San Giorgio della Richinvelda, that works in a sterile environment with a production of 3,000 bottles/hour, temperature controlled for an optimal preservation.
The Cà de Mocenigo Farm is located in Caneva just before the hills that form the watershed between the ancient homeland of Friuli and the joyful Marca Trevigiana, in the territory of the High Livenza.
The hills of Caneva are of alluvial origin and formed from a clay–moraine soil that allows low production of high–quality specifications.
In addition to the optimal composition of the soil, the vineyards of Caneva also enjoy a "unique microclimate" determined by the proximity of the forest of Cansiglio.
This forest, (the third largest in Italy) with its more than 1000 meters above sea level, protects from cold northern winds and creates a constant ventilation, with considerable fluctuations in temperature between day and night.
These factors, combined with the favorable exposure to the south, south–east of our vineyards, allow to obtain high–value grapes and wines of unmistakable aromas.
Cantina Principi di Porcia winery is a family-owned winery dedicated to producing high-quality wines. Our company is situated in the ancient Castle of Cosa, of which there are traces since the year one thousand, located a few kilometers from the small town of Spilimbergo, a well–renowed center of mosaic. This wonderful estate was built with aims of surveillance along the banks of the river Tagliamento, the biggest in the region, which divides it in two parts. Over the following centuries, it changed ownership many times. During the first world war, it became the seat of a garrison and was heavily bombed by the Austrian artillery during the retreat to the river Piave.
In 1921 it was rebuilt as an architectural structure, no longer fortress–like, but similar to a Palladian Villa. It became the property of a rich noble family from Friuli and after many vicissitudes was purchased in 1974 by Gian Franco Furlan and in 1978 became the seat of the wineries creating the CASTELCOSA brand. Today, more than the activity of wine production, the beautiful palace with its Venetian floors, large frescoes and spacious and elegant rooms, is used for exhibitions, concerts, conferences and weddings.
To accommodate customers and the many visitors who come to see us from all over the world, we have restored an old horse stable used as a guesthouse with a wide and characteristic tavern and the unmissable Fogolar, that has always been the heart of Friulian families. All surrounded by an ancient and very beautiful seventeenth century stone wall that encircles a park of centuries old trees where guests and visitors can rest and relax.
Our winery is a perfect meeting point between tradition and technology, reflecting on the one hand the canons of local farming in the full respect of the surrounding nature, presenting on the other hand functionality and rationality in the internal arrangement of the premises, where the different phases of wine processing find adequate responsiveness: from the winemaking areas, to the room for the storage of wine, the bottling room, the warehouse for the finished product, the laboratory, the tasting room and the underground room for aging in small French oak barrels.

Le Monde winery was founded as the wine company of Villa Giustiniani in Portobuffolè, an ancient village that was already documented in 997 as a castle and river port of the Venetian Republic and the only one whose rural houses in the land owned by the Villa is still active today.
The current Le Monde company is a winery of new generation from the technological point of view, both as regards the processing stages in the wine and that for the production of energy through the photovoltaic system covering 70% of the total need of the company. Particular attention is paid in having a sustainable approach throughout the supply chain, starting from the operations of the field.
Le Monde is a cru that is characterized by a calcareous clay soil from which we generate single–variety vines structured but at the same time refined and elegant, vinified exclusively in steel.
The production of the winery, today, is of 200,000 bottles divided into 60% of white wines and 40% of red wines, produced in the 40 hectares of vineyards owned by the Maccan family, that took over company, already historical, in 2008, transforming it into a model of reference to the production area of the Grave del Friuli, one of the most suited Italian areas for the production of quality wines.

We had arrived in Le Favole locality. Memories, awesomeness and emotions. A story, that of the Cadorin, which is full of passion for wine and for those magical lands from which everything originates. Here two brothers, Evio and Angelo, along with their wives Laura and Vilma, fulfilled their dream, between the intense scents of Bosco Bando in Carlino and the delicate fresh essence of the hill of Terra Rossa in Caneva.
In 1931, 70 passionate winemakers joined "to make wine together" and laid the foundations of what is today the Viticoltori Friulani La Delizia. The company associates about 1,000 skilled farmers who grow 1,700 hectares of vineyards and constitute the family of one of the largest wineries in Italy.
The production area of "Friuli Grave" and "Friuli Aquileia" is located in a vast plain in the center of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, in north–east Italy. In this land of clay and gravel and favorable climate, new and old vines have found the ideal conditions that the hand and the passion of men were able to exploit to the fullest.
"Raising" the vine and making wine here, is a unique art that involved our people.
Our passion for the vine has a long history. The "Casarsa Method", known everywhere, was produced by local growers and allows, with a particular system of "pruning", a greater exposure of the grapes to the sun.
After a first selection in the vineyard, the grapes begin the stages of processing in the winery located in the area of production, the wine is mature and refined under the watchful eye of the winemakers.
