The grapes, which come mainly from the municipalities of Frisa, Lanciano, San Vito Chietino, Ortona, Casalbordino and Torino di Sangro, are obtained from red grapes (Montepulciano, Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet) and white grapes (Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, Trebbiano Toscano, Malvasia del Chianti, Chardonnay) and from some indigenous vines including Moscato di Frisa, Pecorino, Passerina and Cococciola.
