La Visciola company is a family–run farm, consisting of three plots of land (whose plantings date back to the sixties) of about 5000 square meters each. The soil looks loose, deep, with high presence of limestone debris.
The double Guyot pruning is implemented, with a production of about 5/6000 bottles.
The agricultural company has decided, several years ago, to make use of the biodynamic method of agriculture. The attention to the management of land has become a fundamental part of the management of the vineyard. In this perspective of prevention, in the years, they have totally replaced synthetic products with only sulfur and copper, used in low quantities. To date there are not mineral fertilizers, herbicides and systemic treatments. The main works concern the sowing of the vine lands with green manure with various plant species and the professional distribution of the biodynamic preparations of Carlo Noro.

The history of the Macciocca agricultural company of young Mario has been handed down from father to son for three generations, starting from grandfather Giuseppe in 1945. An agricultural and commercial activity which over time evolved following the social transformations and the evolution of taste, up to the present day with the commitment and passion of Mario, inevitably attracted by the charm of the land and its precious product.
He has renowed the family vineyards and winery, giving to the company new life and new impetus through the planting of new varieties, new farming techniques, the production of new wines and a convinced adherence to the modern techniques of vinification and aging processes. The company today is seriously converting itself to cultural practices that appeal to biodynamics.
The vines grown on red soil of volcanic origin in the locality of Civitella, a hilly area with very good sun exposure, give rise to generous production of grapes destined to become excellent wines, of original and outstanding sensorial and tasting characteristics.
Small and family–run farm, founded by a family of farmers belonging to the Santa Casa di Loreto institution, which in the 60s decided to start its own business.
Thanks to the work of Sante Giulio Strologo, the first vines were planted on lands purchased on the hill specially for the cultivation of the vine. He will be a founding member of the Consortium for the protection of Rosso Conero, in charge of monitoring the quality of the products of assiciates. The Strologo company has recently passed into the hands of his son Silvano who, inheriting the passion to make good wine, has decided to modernize the company in collaboration with one of the best winemakers in Italy: dr. Giancarlo Soverchia.
Cantine Fontezoppa is an award-winning winery that produces premium wines with a focus on sustainability and environmental conservation. They use traditional grape varieties grown on their own vineyards, following strict organic and biodynamic methods. Their winemaking philosophy relies on minimal intervention, allowing the grapes to express their unique terroir and characteristics. The result is an impressive range of elegant and balanced wines, from crisp whites to full-bodied reds, suitable for every occasion.
The vineyards of the Aurora company are all located in the municipality of Offida, in the middle of the DOC areas of Falerio, Rosso Piceno Superiore and Offida Pecorino, about 180 m above sea level, in a basically clayey and calcareous soil. The red grapes are exposed to the south, south–east and north–west, too, in fresher soils. The company as a whole, and also the vineyards, are run with the techniques and reasons of Organic agriculture. Fertilization is made with the sowing and the green manure of various legumes, which provide nitrogen and humus to the soil, with the roots that, vegetating, keep the soil loose and airy. The pesticide treatments are conceived as an aid to the natural defense of the plants and are made with limited doses of copper salts, sulfur and natural enemies of insect pests. Grapes, in their full ripeness, are harvested by hand and immediately pressed softly and then fermented. The maturation of wine takes place mainly in barrels and barriques of oak and the bottling is done in the company.
Poderi San Lazzaro is a premium winery that produces high-quality wines using traditional winemaking techniques. They use only the finest grapes grown in their vineyards and have a deep respect for their land and the environment. The winery has a rich history and a passion for creating exceptional wines that reflect the beauty and character of their region.
Being vinegrowers, to us, means first and foremost to tell the land, with its many complexities, and follow the seasons, with their evolutions that are always different. And, for this reason, we have chosen an organic method of growing, so as to express, undistorted, what the land brings with it, of course.
And then, this means to follow directly the entire production process, from the ground up to the consumer.
For years, we have been working in the vineyards trying to preserve and leave full expression to biodiversity, sowing among rows faba bean, vetch, pea, alfalfa and letting the wild plants thrive. We do not fertilize, we only use small doses of sulfur and copper. Once or twice a year we spray the biodynamic preparation 500 ("cornoletame").
Low yields per vine, accurate selection of grapes during harvest – done by hand, in small boxes – the spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, low levels of sulfur dioxide, careful refinements, are fundamental parts of our work.
The winery is located in the sunny San Michele district of Cupramontana, the town of Verdicchio, grapes are vinified to obtain a limited production of bottles for haute cuisine restaurants, wine shops, and individuals.
To say Lungarotti is to say Torgiano, the territory that made the Umbria of wine famous. Founded by Giorgio Lungarotti at the beginning of the 60s, the company is now run by sisters Chiara Lungarotti and Teresa Severini. Their commitment and openness to innovation that characterize them, have infused a strong impetus to the company, reinforcing a concrete example of family positivity, as a guarantee not only of the present, but also of the future.
The farmstead – Simon Mayr, Küchenmayr, in Fià dello Sciliar, in the year 1629 acquired the Unterganzner farmstead, in which the Mayr family has lived and worked for as many as 10 generations. The property has experienced direct succession from father to son. Only with the knowledge gained over decades of work and thanks to experience, joint effort and cooperation of all the generations that have lived in the farmstead, it was possible to get the high quality that distinguishes the wine produced there.
Location – At the eastern end of the wide basin of Bolzano, 285 meters above sea level, built on the porphyry rocks typical of the area, at the point where River Ega flows into the raging waters of Eisack, the Mayr–Unterganzner farmstead is located.
The vineyard – the Unterganzner farmstead, in spite of the most modern technical developments, conducts with perseverance the traditional "arbor vinegrowing". This system of cultivation, however, is modified so that, with a high number of plants per hectare and a limitation of the targeted yields, a high level of quality of the grapes is guaranteed.

The Unterganzner farmstead is part of the "Südtiroler Qualitätsweinhfe" association of vinegrowers, a group of ambitious winemakers who share ideas and views with regard to the "promise of quality" a goal that is pursued with a maximum consistency and transparency, from the vine to the bottled product.
In Velturno, a little bit over Chiusa, Azienda Vinicola Garlider is located, enjoying a charming view on the Eisack Valley and on the imposing Alpine world. Here, Christian Kerschbaumer runs with his parents, his wife Veronika and their children Anna, Elisa, Philipp and Manuela, the Garlider wine company, producing on a surface of 4 hectares, 5 excellent white wines in addition to the only Pinot Black of the entire Eisack Valley: Grüner Veltliner, Sylvaner, Rulnder (Pinot Grey), Müller Thurgau, Gewürztraminer, Blauburgunder.
Kuenhof - Pliger Peter winery is a family-owned winery that specializes in producing high-quality and unique wines. They use traditional methods of winemaking and focus on organic and sustainable farming practices to create award-winning wines with distinct flavors and aromas. Young and rich in perspectives for the future, but with deep roots in tradition: in this way Cantina Bolzano presents itself, founded in 2001 by the union of two historical wineries, Gries (founded in 1908) and Santa Maddalena (founded in 1930). Thanks to the high quality of grapes conferred by its 200 associates, the wines of Cantina Bolzano are positioned at the top pf the wine production of South Tyrol, as testified by the many recognitions at national and international level. The impressive artifact at the beginning of the Wine Route is a landmark, a witness to the livley history of Cantina Vinicola San Michele Appiano. Built in 1909, the central body in Art Nouveau style is still today expression and pride of the farmers of Appiano who wanted to give their wine a suitable framework. The next extension of the original building symbolizes the orientation to the future: its simple style and its clean lines are an expression of the determination of the open mind of the Oltradige winegrowers.
The owner, Reinhold Messner, and the tenants Gisela & Martin Aurich started building the farm in 1992. The union of ideas and pragmatism led to the creation of a small but unique company whose wines and spirits are expression of the unique character of the Juval hill. On a surface of more than five hectares different varieties of grapes and fruits for the distillery are grown.
The Abbey of Neustift is situated in the most northern wine region in South Tyrol. The altitude (600m, 900m), the cool climate and the soil rich in minerals are ideal for an optimal development of aromas and flavors of the typical white wines of the Eisack Valley such as Sylvaner, Müller Thurgau, Kerner, and Gewürztraminer and Veltliner.
The varieties of red wines, instead, thrive in the vineyards of the Abbey located more to the south of South Tyrol; in this case, Lagrein of the Mariaheim farm of the Bolzano area, Kalterersee, Pinot Noir and Moscato Rosa are vinified and aged in the Marklhof estate di Cornaiano/Appiano.
The centuries–old experience of the Abbey has been producing wine since 1142. Combined with the most modern technologies, the great passion of our employees for wine and their professionalism, it gives the wines of the Abbey that personality and liveliness that has always distinguished them.
