The appointment took place during the elective assembly which took place in Rome, in the registered office of MTV at the Unione Italiana Vini, on the morning of 17 June. Violante Gardini Cinelli Colombini will succeed the outgoing president, Nicola D'Auria (Abruzzo) for the next three years and will lead, for the first time, the great wine tourism association, born in Tuscany.

“I am particularly happy and proud to have been chosen by the MTV regional presidents gathered today in the assembly to fill this role in the Association that I saw born at home as a child and which now, thanks to teamwork, we will have to transform into the engine that it must do of the MTV cellars the top of Italian wine tourism. – says the new president of the Wine Tourism Movement, Violante Gardini Cinelli Colombini - I n thanking those who preceded me in this role, I would like to point out that, in order to achieve the set objectives, we will work united with the new Board of Directors and with all those who , inside and outside the board, will agree to become the directors of individual projects. There will be space for everyone and we will give maximum visibility to those who put talent and time towards great objectives."

During the meeting, the Vice President and the Councilors who will make up the work team for the next three years were also appointed. Supporting the new president Violante Gardini Cinelli Colombini will be the Vice President of the Wine Tourism Movement Valentina Togna (Trentino Alto Adige). The working group will then be composed of the councilors Maria Paola Sorrentino (President of MTV Campania), Nicola D'Auria (President of MTV Abruzzo), Valeria Pilloni (President of MTV Sardinia), Stefano Celi (President of MTV Valle d'Aosta) , Giovanni Dubini (President of MTV Umbria).

For the good work done in the complicated years of the pandemic and the subsequent recovery, the new President and the assembly of the regions thanked the outgoing President Nicola D'Auria, who led the Movement for two mandates.

The President Nicola D'Auria, thanking him for the trust enjoyed, therefore leaves office handing over one last result of his work and that of the outgoing board to his successor: a website, www.movimentoturismovino.it, completely renewed and functional which among the partnership is proud to include that of italia.it, the portal of the Ministry of Tourism of the Italian Republic.

And, among the main innovations, BACCOmmunity stands out, the chatbot that responds in real time to the requests of wine tourists wishing to plan their visits to the winery. This innovation was possible thanks to the advanced features offered by artificial intelligence, designed to interact with the wine tourist community. Over time, the Movement has built a database of members interested in real-time updates.

The project, which has just started - underlines D'Auria - has so far involved around 200 wineries ready to offer exclusive advantages to those who book a visit. We hope that the number of participating wineries will grow, allowing the community of wine enthusiasts to benefit from an increasingly rapid and effective service ."
