The wine tourism is increasingly successful and shows to be always an irreplaceable resource for the "Belpaese". At the BIT of Milan data, numbers and trends of the Observatory on Wine Tourism promoted by the Cities of Wine, in collaboration with the University of Salerno, will be presented.



Data, numbers, trends and tips of the food and wine tourism in Italy. The success of the industry is really amazing in Italy: wine–travelers and lovers of made in Italy wine&food are increasing in number. To delineate and enhance the phenomenon for as many as 12 years the Observatory on Wine Tourism n. 12 has been in progress, sponsored by the Cities of Wine in collaboration with the University of Salerno. The preview of the report will be presented on 13th February at the International Travel Fair (Borsa Internazionale Turismo – Bit) in Milan.



The Observatory is a thorough investigation, on a national scale, which offers a glimpse of the Italy of wine tourism with careful attention to the evolution of the social fabric, lifestyles, customs, to the change of the habits of tourists.



The observatory brings together and revises the data thanks to new digital devices, from the territory, with surveys conducted in various Italian Cities of Wine, quantifying the offer of the Italian provinces: quality restaurants, the heritage of local products, wine producers, the green welcome (farmhouse inns) and the landscape.
