THE SECOND WEEKEND OF MAY IN NIZZA MONFERRATO (ASTI) WILL BE BARBERA FORUM WITH 70 PRODUCERS AND 400 LABELS. SUNDAY PREVIEW OF THE NEW RISERVA DEL NIZZA DOCG. GUESTS THE GORGONZOLA DOP AND THE GASTRONOMIC PRODUCTS OF THE «T'AMO» SHORT CHAIN

On 13 and 14 May Nizza è Barbera returns, the event dedicated to Barbera d'Asti docg and Nizza docg . This is an important year because we will be tasting the first Riserva del Nizza docg from the six macro-areas of the production area. It will be premiered on Sunday at 5 pm, in the former church of the Holy Trinity. The tasting is led by the Nizza Producers Association, with the intervention of the president Stefano Chiarlo and the producers.

Nizza Monferrato is therefore transformed into a great capital of wine: 70 producers to meet with 400 labels of Barbera d'Asti docg and Nizza docg for tasting . Guests are the gastronomic products of the «T'Amo» short supply chain. Also this year the Barbera Forum, at the Foro Boario, is already open on Saturday mornings and visitors can only enter by time slots with three daily shifts (10-13; 14-17; 17.30-20.30). At Palazzo Crova, headquarters of the Regional Enoteca of Nizza, experiential and olfactory tastings on Barbera. Lunch and dinner with tasting counter of the wines of Nizza and Barbera producers at the Osteria Vineria La Signora in Rosso. Seminar with pairing of Gorgonzola, Barbera d'Asti docg and Nizza docg. White night with open shops and gastronomic proposals in the city centre, where three Wine Points will be set up - in piazza Garibaldi, in via Pio Corsi and in piazza XX Settembre - with a selection of Barbera d'Asti docg and Nizza docg labels for tasting. In Piazza Garibaldi, in Piazza XX Settembre and in the historic centre, the Nicesi Traders Association «Nizza con il cuore» organizes a local street food. Sunday by bike in the Nizza vineyards, Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini car rally, food market in the historic centre.

Nizza è Barbera is organized by the Municipality of Nizza Monferrato and the Regional Enoteca of Nizza with the support of the Barbera d'Asti and Monferrato Wines Consortium, the Nizza Producers Association and the Astesana Strada del Vino. The event has the patronage of the Piedmont Region, the Province of Asti and the Chamber of Commerce of Asti.

SATURDAY 13 MAY . It begins at 9.30 with the opening toast at the Foro Boario in Piazza Garibaldi. From 10 to 20.30 it will be Barbera Forum with admission in shifts: 70 producers present 400 labels of Nizza docg and Barbera d'Asti docg. You enter by time slots: 10am – 1pm / 2pm – 5pm / 5.30pm – 8.30pm. Tastings by the companies of the T'Amo short chain with their food and wine products. Entrance fee to the Barbera Forum: 25 euros. Departure from Piazza Garibaldi of "By bike in the vineyards of Nizza", a guided bicycle tour to discover the crus of Nizza docg organized by the Nizza Producers Association, in collaboration with Mon Bike Tour and Experience 4U.
