All the news and events, masterclasses and educationals of Solobirra and RPM-Riva Pianeta Mixology, the special areas dedicated to craft beer and mixology of Hospitality-Il Salone dell'Accoglienza 2024, the leading international fair in Italy in the Ho .Re.Ca. at the Riva del Garda exhibition center, from 5 to 8 February 2024.

This year too, Hospitality - Il Salone dell'Accoglienza dedicates two special areas to craft beer and mixology: Solobirra and RPM-Riva Pianeta Mixology , which have now become true trend laboratories.

Not only a vast exhibition of excellent producers, but also an opportunity for updated training for bartenders and Ho.Re.Ca operators. to diversify the offer and rethink the business in a strategic way thanks to the contributions of opinion leaders in the sector, master brewers and international bartenders.

Solobirra 2024 presents itself as a reference for the brewing sector, with space for small and large producers, brands, importers and distributors. Not only that, to enhance the culture of craft beer, there is also a program of events - which during the days of the event will liven up the Beer Arena in Pavilion B4 - to delve deeper into the most current themes of this sector with tastings and training meetings.

The big news this year is the participation for the first time of a collective of Bavarian breweries "Bayerisches Bier IGP", thanks to the co-financing of the Bavarian Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism and the collaboration with the Bayerischer Brauerbund (Bavarian Breweries Association).

“ In addition to the numerous events, tastings and training meetings that will enliven the Beer Arena during the days of the event to delve deeper into the most current themes thanks to the contribution of master brewers, beer sommeliers and professionals in the sector, this year we have signed an agreement which is part of the scope of the export program of the Bavarian Ministry. To confirm its international nature and business hub, at Hospitality we will also bring some small independent breweries from Bavaria with a maximum annual production of 200,000 hectolitres, who will have the opportunity to have their beers tasted by Italian and international buyers on the occasion of Bavarian Breweries Day – Bayerisches Bier PGI on Tuesday 6 February. ” – comments Giovanna Voltolini, Exhibition Manager of Hospitality-Il Salone dell'Accoglienza.

The day of Tuesday 6 February is in fact entirely dedicated to Bavarian breweries with the presentation and technical tasting of 6 different crafts beer producers: in the morning, from 11.30 to 12.30 , Bürgerbräu Bad Reichenhall, Familienbrauerei Jacob and Müllerbräu, while the afternoon, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm Hofmark Brauerei; Privatbrauerei Schweiger; Schlossbrauerei Maxlrain. As a representative of Bavarian beer and all Bavarian breweries, Mona Sommer, the Bierkönigin-Queen of Beer 2024, will be present.

On the afternoon of Monday 5 February , the inaugural day of the 48th edition of Hospitality, two meetings are scheduled: at 2.30 pm there will be an in-depth discussion of "The economic sustainability of agri-food companies with direct-to-consumer " with Filippo Galanti, Chief Business Officer of Divinea; at 4.30 pm in the event " Artificial intelligence at the service of SMEs in the agri-food sector " organized by Febo Leondini, President of AFDB-Beverage Distributors Training Association and Carlo Vischi, Horeca Channel Italia collaborator and advisor in the agri-food and digital sector, Hops will be presented, Pino and Lucignolo, the digital twins designed for HoReCa and developed with the help of Memori on the ChatGPT platform.
Two more appointments for Wednesday 7 February . At 2.30 pm we will talk about "Artificial intelligence at the service of the hotel industry" with Lucia Cerini, General Director of Park Hotel in Desenzano del Garda; Febo Leondini, President of AFDB-Beverage Distributors Training Association; Carlo Vischi, Horeca Channel Italia collaborator, advisor in the agri-food and digital sector and with the Digital Twin Amelia.

The Beer Arena program ends at 4.00 pm with the debate on " The ecosystem in food & beverage distribution " together with Febo Leondini, as a member of the scientific committee of the Luiss Business School Trade Management Master, Piergiorgio Torboli, CEO of BNT and Carlo Alberto Nardelli, president and CEO of the factory in Pedavena, Levico Terme.

Drinking well finds its most refined version in mixed drinking at Hospitality 2024, with great space for mixology and bartending trends in the special RPM-Riva Pianeta Mixology area.

In addition to the usual proposals from producers and distributors of grappa, spirits and spirits and from companies specializing in bartending accessories, the area will be enriched by free tastings and masterclasses with companies. Furthermore, six of the most expert and talented mixologists on the national and international scene will take turns in the educational program for bartenders and restaurant and hotel professionals which will take place in the first three days of the fair.

Thanks to great masters, true ambassadors of mixology such as Samuele Ambrosi, Lucia Montanelli, Luca Picchi, Leonardo Pinto , Andrea Pomo and Leonardo Veronesi , it will be possible to discover the latest trends, tools, mixing techniques and quality raw materials, essential for prepare inimitable cocktails. Interesting focuses on some ingredients such as rum, grappa and whisky, increasingly used in drinks and the insights into Tiki and tropical mixing.

“Caribbean Flip Flop! When rum goes on holiday”, an educational dedicated to rum, a distillate highly appreciated throughout the world and rich in traditions.

Leonardo Pinto's educational show, Tuesday 6 February at 1.30 pm; while at 3.30pm there will be a new entry among the talented mixologists of RPM, Lucia Montanelli with "Vesper bar at Dorchester hotel between tradition and innovation" for a journey into London customs.

Wednesday 7 February at 1.30pm a focus on Tiki and exotic mixing with Luca Picchi who presents "Tiki Tales: stories, curiosities and tastings from a distant exotic world"; starting from 3.30pm , however, an in-depth analysis on "Brand Experience & Drink Strategy” with Andrea Pomo , Italian Brand Ambassador Santa Teresa 1796.

On the last day of the fair, Thursday 8 February , the RPM Arena will be transformed into the perfect stage for "The Next Generation" , the AIBES National Competition - Italian Association of Barmen and Supporters dedicated to the young talents of hotel and professional institutes, who represent the future of the art of mixing and the world of the bar.
