An old barn of the seventeenth century, in the heart of the "Friularo" DOCG, one of the most promising revelations in recent years. Three hundred labels from the 74 controlled and guaranteed designations of origin, the pride of our country; fifty sommeliers from Veneto available to visitors to explain them the wines and the lands from which they come.

With these numbers the "DOCG wine experience" presents itself: an event organized by the Padua Delegation of AIS Veneto to be held on 10th May 2015 at Villa Widmann in Bagnoli di Sopra (PD), in collaboration with the Municipality of Bagnoli di Sopra, with the union of the municipalities of Conselve and the availability of the Dominio of Bagnoli.

A great event which, between tastings, debates, workshops and tastings of the greediest PDO products in Italy, will also host the "Best Sommelier in Veneto" contest, a real category competition of thirty Sommeliers, divided into two categories: Sommelier and Professional Sommelier.

The competition is included in the training path of the Italian Sommelier Association and aims to identify and reward the most skilled sommeliers both among professionals and among lovers. The 33 finalists come to this final test after attending the AIS Veneto Contests School in whose appointments they had the opportunity to train for this test, but also to grow professionally taking care of their communication skills and the technique of tasting.

To decree the 2015 winner, the jury composed of the Contests School National Head and member of the AIS National Executive Committee Cristiano Cini, the Chairman of AIS Veneto Marco Aldegheri, the Contests School Regional Head Graziano Simonella, Arturo Stocchetti, Chairman of Uvive, Ottavio Venditto, Best Sommelier in Italy 2014 and Enrico Fiorini, Best Sommelier in Veneto 2014.

For the first time the competition will be held in the wonderful setting of Villa Widmann in Bagnoli di Sopra (PD), within the DOCG Wine Experience event, fourth edition and evolution of the "DOCG Symposium – Italian Excellence in the World". DOCG Wine Experience, in effect, hosts debate and an exhibition to give way to members and supporters of the Italian Sommelier Association Veneto to meet, in a unique and exclusive location, all Italian DOCG.

The event has the sponsorship of the Veneto Region, the Province of Padua, the Chamber of Commerce of Padua, of EXPO Milano 2015 and many local governments.
