Cocchi , which has been producing Vermouth di Torino and other flavored wines since 1891, has always been at the forefront of the rediscovery and diffusion of Vermouth, and this year too it is taking part in the Vermouth di Torino Week, alongside the Italian establishments that want to join.
There are several events on the calendar promoted by Cocchi in collaboration with partners and with the participation of high-level Italian and international speakers.
As part of the Vermouth di Torino Week events calendar, on 25 June 2024 at 4pm , Cocchi is organizing a masterclass entitled “Whiskey meets Vermouth di Torino” at Villa Sassi in Turin . The barman Michele Mariotti , from Gleneagles, will host the meeting aimed at an audience of operators (barmen and trade press).
“ Scotch Whiskey and Vermouth are a combination used in a myriad of classic cocktails for centuries – explains Mariotti -. The bitter-sweet elements of vermouth pair perfectly with the body of Scotch, which brings great diversity into play. At Gleneagles, we use vermouth and Scotch in several cocktails. In the Book of Berries, the American Bar menu at Gleneagles, we use Vermouth to add a third dimension to some of our cocktails.
In the masterclass, we will explore which elements of Whiskey can be enhanced with Vermouth and how to manage the creative process behind a menu, to have a diverse selection of drinks in a conceptualized menu ”.

On 29 June 2024, at 7pm, an aperitif with Vermouth & Tonic will take place in the Bava di Tuffo vineyard, in Cocconato, followed by a cinema screening at 9pm of The Great Gatsby (2013), directed by Baz Luhrmann.
The film, based on the novel of the same name by F. Scott Fitzgerald, tells the story of the mysterious and charming millionaire Jay Gatsby (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) and his obsessive love for Daisy Buchanan (Carey Mulligan). A work that captures the essence of the American twenties with pomp and drama, made even more evocative by the location of the vineyard.
