World's 50 Best Restaurants is the much-anticipated list of "the best restaurants in the world", sponsored by S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.
The jury of The World's 50 Best Restaurant consists About 900 culinary experts who are part of Diners Club ® World's 50 Best Restaurants Academy, an Academy which brings together the real international leaders in the restaurant industry: food critics, chefs, restaurants and experienced restaurateurs. There are the representatives of 26 macro regions of the world, each of which is composed by a jury of 36 members. Each member can use seven votes of which three out of their region of expertise. The members list their choices in order of preference, according to the experience in the various restaurants in the previous 18 months.

Big surprises among the 50 most popular restaurants in the world.
René Redzepi Noma in Copenhagen has dropped to the second position, unseated by El Celler de Can Roca, three Michelin stars, led by Joan Roca and his brothers Josep and Jordi, in Girona.
Maximum Bottura of the Osteria Francescana in Modena is at hte number three on the charts, Michelin stars and best Italian cook Bottura.

Italy is gaining positions: the Osteria Francescana in Modena which has been in the chart for 5 years and finally reached the podium thanks to Bottura's kitchen, modern and traditional at the same time.
Le Calandre in Rubano (PD) with the brothers Massimiliano and Raffaele Alajmo has gained 5 positions over last year coming to the 27th place.
An illustrious return to the chart is that of Combal.Zero of Rivoli (To), 40th place with the chef Scabin.
But not only this year there was also among the 50 Best: number 41, the restaurant Piazza Duomo in Alba (Cn) with the chef Enrico Crippa.
Another important result for Italy is the premium Veuve Clicquot World's Best Female Chef in 2013 (best woman cook in the world) awarded this year to Nadia Santini of Dal Pescatore restaurant in Canneto sull'Oglio (Mn).
