Wines for fish: the 2nd International Selection at the start in Ancona

The Wine Competition for white, rosé and sparkling wines to be enjoyed in the company of the delicious fish from the Adriatic. Starting tomorrow, 15th May, to 17th May, hundreds of labels distributed in ten categories will be evaluated.

Wine experts and journalists from different countries will gather in Ancona for the 2nd edition of the Wines for Fish International Selection, the competition that evaluates wines suitable for fish gastronomy among those that enjoy the approval of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry.
Wines for Fish intends to be a promotional channel to enhance our resource-wine and the sea and its delicacies. In addition, in conjunction with the selection, the Department of Fisheries of the Marche Region will propose moments of tasting and promotion within the campaign devoted to fresh fish of Marche, which then will unfold throughout the summer season.

Wines for Fish: "The most coveted competition by white, rosé and sparkling wines", is an international competition
that it intends to foster dialogue in a global market, but that rewards more and more territorial and local identities.
There are ten categories in the competition wishing to achieve the coveted title of wines ideal to accompain dishes of fish.
Five evaluation committees are composed of winemakers and international journalists.
From tomorrow the Riviera del Conero hosts the international jury that will take office on 15th May for a three-day of tastings and evaluation of labels, with the qualified support of the Italian Oenologists and Oenotechnicians Association.
The wines that will get over 80 cents will receive the Diploma of Merit, while the top three finishers in each category of membership will get the gold, silver and bronze medal.
The special prize "Doric Goblet" will be awarded to the company that will achieve the best result so far.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for 22nd June at the Marina Dorica, where the winning labels will "parade" within another extraordinary international event: the ocean-going sailing World Championship.
