In Naples, the Vitignoitalia 2013 event closes with the consensus of industry experts and the public: even 15 thousand visitors and many contents. Prizes were awarded to the best Italian wines.
Nearly 200 national wineries took part, and the event was an important showcase for great Italian food brands. An achievement in numbers and contents for an event of high profile that may become central in promoting the city of Naples.
Winning contents of Vitignoitalia 2013: food, wine and ?green?
"We have invested in the contents, because every proper annual event must be able to renew itself" Maurizio Teti, director of Vitignoitalia, explains. "We have opened a first sector dedicated to quality Italian cuisine with the presence of historical brands such as Levoni and Pastificio Di Martino, and four of the main Consortia of Italian DOP cheese: Gorgonzola, Parmigiano Reggiano, Pecorino Romano and Mozzarella di Bufala Campana". Positive has been the press release of the event, by Dipunto company, which this year has further invested in unconventional media and on the web with remarkable results on social media, e-magazines, sector-based blogs, not to mention the more than 250 accredited journalists this year in the three days of the show.
The ?green? vocation of the exhibition was expressed with the setting up of recycled and 100% recyclable materials through a partnership with Sabox and Formaperta, to minimize the environmental impact of the event.
Even 200 the Italian wine companies that have presented their wines to the public of operators (about 6000) and wine lovers. Great satisfaction also for the meetings OneToOne with foreign buyers.

Vitignoitalia rewards the high quality of the national wine productions and is enriched also with category of spirits. The objective of the event is to reward and promote the best wines and spirits of Italy according to the different local areas.
Even 34 are the wines that received Silver Medals, Gold Medals, Great Gold Medals and 4 Special Prizes of Vitignoitalia, including the Grand Prix Vitignoitalia, awarded to the wine that achieved the best overall score.
