A new event created by the Legnaro family of Antica Trattoria Ballotta in Torreglia for Thursday, 28th August, that after the success of the evenings of the Trilogy of Taste, three days of starry kitchen held at the end of June, has decided to host, in the historical Italian venue, 10 food bloggers among the best known of the web to greet the end of a summer stingy of sunshine and good weather.


These esteemed members of the Food Blogger Italian Association, which brings together under its banner real professionals of the digital stoves and of web communication, will kick off the "kitchen brigade" in Antica Trattoria Ballotta with recipes and preparations inspired by the Euganean territory.

An area of the province of Padua that thanks to the archipelago of the Euganean hills that rises quietly from the fertile plains surrounding it, besides the usual agricultural food production typical of the Venetian countryside, offers a remarkable variety of DOC and DOCG wines and also a much sought after extra virgin olive oil.

An EVO, as it is termed today using the digital language, on which the food bloggers, singled out by Ballotta, have focused their attentions to put it at the center of the culinary preparations of the evening that will succeed for the palates of guests. Among them, there will be also some food and wine critics of absolute respect who, to stimulate more effectively the creativity of food bloggers, will take on the role of the judges to declare, at the end of the evening, which of the dishes tasted at the "Ballotta Court" shall result more responsive in meeting tastes and in the actual disclosure of a food culture that makes our country the most imitated in the world. Especially for its uniqueness in the endless variety that distinguishes every table in Italy, unique and, as in this case, that sees food pass directly from the cook to the diners. In short, a true feast even for the most demanding palates that in this Euganean evening of 28th August will begin with a wonderful buffet for a "happy hour" based on salami and cheese expertly accompanied with greedy sauces, jellies, such as that of Cabernet, or the onion jam that will accompany the "pitule" of zucchini flowers. Moreover, the one that will accompany the tartare of veal with herbs, the "stecconiglio" or, for unrepentant gourmets, the omelette with truffles and all the other surprises of this "appetizer".

Served, as a tradition of Antica Trattoria Ballotta, along the tables set up in the ancient small square inside the venue that, at the behest of academics of the cuisine of Italy, was named after the founder of the Academy of Italian Cuisine: Orio Vergani. That in this temple of the most genuine cuisine of the territory had laid the groundwork for the founding of the association to become an institution of the Italian Republic. Returning to the menu, with starters, so called by Cristina and Fabio Legnaro, co–owners of Antica Trattoria with their brothers Adriano and Anna, they will serve at the table a rich dish of Pappardelle with guinea fowl and grapes and a "Torresano," a term that here means pigeon, along with other surprises that the kitchen brigade and food bloggers are still designing to enhance the culinary offerings of the evening. That will triumph with a buffet of sweets: from the expected contamination created by a Tuscan food blogger, Cantucci with extra virgin olive oil of the Euganean Hills, to "tolerant pastry", to "zaeti" with custard made at the time, tarts based on the most creative jams, and the canonical three dots to indicate that missing the evening will mean not being able to enjoy all the other sweet surprises. As for drinks, Km0 water of the Ballotta house, the bubbles of Franciacorta signed by Perin of Balon de Balon, the wines of the Euganean of Maeli and, nightcap, the Luxardo liqueurs.

Last note, after having said that the all–inclusive cost is € 40, the musical notes of the students and techers of the Conservatory of Castelfranco will be the perfect soundtrack for an evening that has been rightly included in the calendar of events organized for the Feel Good Festival.
