To Pope Francis the Wine of Peace of Cormons: "hope needs to emerge"

On the occasion of the great meeting of the cooperative sector in Vatican City, Friuli Venezia Giulia made arrive to Pope Francis a really special gift: the Wine of Peace.

The Wine of Peace was sent by Cantina Produttori Cormòns. The grapes come from the now famous Vineyard of the World, a special plot of land where, since 1983, over 600 different vines from all continents have been planted.

Using grapes from all continents, precisely the Wine of Peace is produced. Every year the best Italian and foreign artists draw a special label. The wine is then sent to all Heads of State, as a message of brotherhood and unity.

The wine of peace is a special symbol at the meeting of Confcooperative: «Our task is to go ahead and try to change economy, to improve people’s lives, to focus on the person, to prove that profit is not the only reason to do business», Maurizio Gardini, Chairman of Confcooperative, said.



Pope Begoglio "hope needs to emerge"

At the end of the papal audience, the Holy Father said to more than 7,000 members of Confcooperative:

«Do not stop – Pope Bergoglio said – to what you have accomplished, but KEEP ON strengthening your realities. Have the courage to get out of them, to bring cooperation to the borders of change, where hope needs to emerge».

Words of encouragement and strength of the Pope are a reason more to carry on a very symbolic work like the wine of peace.
