The Summer Fancy Food Festival is the most important trade fair in North America dedicated to quality food products and innovation in the sector and Piacere Modena together with the Department of Agriculture, Agro-food, Hunting and Fishing of the Emilia Romagna Region with Councilor Alessio Mammi, thanks to an intense program of tastings and cooking shows, was able to showcase and talk about the great PDO and PGI heritage of the province of Modena, first in Italy for the largest number of products with Denomination of Origin and Geographical Indication.
The institutional mission to the USA led by President Stefano Bonaccini, which was held from 25 to 27 June, attracted professionals from all over the world and was useful for strengthening the international positioning of the Emilia-Romagna system, present with its own institutional stand (programme MadeinER-Usa 2022-2023, in collaboration with ART-ER, Unioncamere Emilia-Romagna and Apt Servizi) within the Italian Pavilion of the Javitis Center in Manhattan, with Piacere Modena which presented exclusively the DOP and IGP products of the Consortia: Consortium Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, Modena Ham Consortium, Lambrusco Protection Consortium, Parmigiano Reggiano Protection Consortium, Zampone Cotechino Modena Consortium, Vignola Cherry Consortium and Balsamic Vinegar of Modena Consortium.
As the President of the Region Stefano Bonaccini and the Councilor for Agriculture Alessio Mammi underlined, on the occasion of the inauguration of the Region's institutional stand at the Fancy Food Festival: “ Some of the most popular products in the world speak Emilia-Romagna. Specialties that are synonymous with quality and a strong link with the territory. And today we are here alongside our companies and protection consortia to further consolidate our positioning in a market that is very important to us and increase the protection of products with regulated quality. A new stage of the commitment alongside the regional production system and to strengthen relations and common projects ”.
A systemic mission on the American East Coast aimed at promoting the agro-food identity of the Province of Modena, first in Italy for the number of DOP and IGP certified food products, helping to strengthen the reputation of the Piacere Modena brand in an exemplary way in the world.

All the products presented at Fancy Food will be available for purchase for a month at Eataly Flatiron as part of a promotional project promoted by the Emilia Romagna Region, inaugurated on 27 June with a prestigious event hosted by Modenese chef Massimo Bottura.
The Piacere Modena products present with show cooking and tastings were: Modena DOP Ham , Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP, Parmigiano Reggiano DOP, Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP, Cotechino of Modena IGP, Sour Cherries Brusche di Modena IGP and Lambrusco Grasparossa of Castelvetro DOP and Sorbara DOP .
