The nominations for the Oscar del Vino 2013 have been announced.
After Vinitaly 2013, the unmissable event Oscar Del Vino 2013, the gala of Italian wine, is coming: the official date is 3 June 2013, with a gala dinner by Gianfranco Vissani with tastings of all the products nominated for a Oscar in 24 wines and three oils, possible winners of the 15th edition of the Oscar del Vino.
Wines deserving a Oscar: Award to Merit
It took years to make the Oscar Film Academy of Los Angeles to accept the name "Oscar del Vino" for the major event of the Italian wine scene, but now we can say that:
"The Oscar Film Academy of Los Angeles can not prohibit the Italian Association of Sommeliers of Rome and BIBENDA to use the Brand 'Oscar del Vino'". The Academy has finally surrendered in front of the art of wine.
"We understood the success of this award - Franco M. Ricci, Director of BIBENDA and President of Worldwide Sommelier Association, says - watching the Tg1 an evening in 1999, when among the major titles that paraded one after the other, after the news of the war in Kosovo and the words of D'Alema then President of the Council, we read: Rome like Los Angeles: the Oscar del Vino awarded. It is an award - he continues - that does not have a criterion of absolute, but only of merit, of wines, wineries and men, to have been reported, loved and raised to the success by the people by the public of the wine. "
