GUSTUS 2014: Wine and Flavors of the Berici Hills

On 18th and 19th October the Valmarana Braga Palace hosts a unique event to taste the wines and flavors of the Berici Hills


The Heart of Vicenza hosts on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th October, the fifth edition of Gustus – Wines and Flavors of the Berici Hills, an event organized by the Colli Berici Wine Road and the Consortium for the protection of the Colli Berici and Vicenza wines.

Tai Rosso, Garganega, Merlot, Carmenere and Cabernet: these are just some of the wines that you can taste in Gustus. To present the wines there will be directly the producers in a tasting table with more than 30 companies and more than 100 labels.

At Gustus the range of flavors of the Colli Berici expands with local products such as honey, cheese, salami, olive oil, grappa, coffee. In addition, the restaurants of Vicenza during the days of the event will offer food tastings.



To taste the wines of the Berici Hills

At Gustus there are 4 special tastings

Saturday 18th at 4:30 p.m., Berici Hills: the red heart of the Veneto.

The videomaker Mauro Fermariello and the taster Fabio Giavedoni (coordinator of the Slow Wine Guide) will tell their rich experiences with the wines of the Berici Hills. To follow, the screening of the video of Fermariello and the tasting of two wines representative of the territory led by Fabio Giavedoni.

At 6:30 p.m., Viva Gluck wines: Fabio Giavedoni, Alessia Benini and Luca Carletto of the Slow Wine Guide Gluck wines, or "wines that are uncorked and drunk without worries". To follow, a tasting of six wines.

Sunday 19th at 4:30 p.m., The Seasons of Taste: Anna Maria Zanchetta will take you on a journey on the Berici Hills through the recipes of the four seasons, paired with local wines and a touch of poetry.

At 6:30 p.m., Tai Rosso, grenache of our house: tasting of six types of Tai Rosso led by Onav Vicenza.



The entrance to the event and the participation in thematic tastings (upon request and subject to available places) are free and do not require any entry price.
