The event organized by Movimento Turismo del Vino FVG this year will take place in Cividale del Friuli , City of Wine, in the scenographic, set up for the occasion by Ada Gamba of Studio Madà, Cloister of San Francesco on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 August , from 20.00 to 24.00. During the event you will be able to discover pleasant combinations of local flavors , culture and art and taste the real "stars" of the event ... the wines of some of the best regional wineries.
Elda Felluga, president of the Movimento Turismo del Vino FVG, declares: " We are very happy to be able to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the entry of Cividale del Friuli into the prestigious Unesco heritage by bringing Goblets of Stars to the magical Cloister of San Francesco. For the first time there is the Città Ducale will host Calici di Stelle and it seemed natural to us to combine it with the celebrations for the important anniversary. Our association has always believed in collaboration on the territory which sees in this beautiful occasion teamwork with the Municipality of Cividale del Friuli and the Città del Vino association with a view to enhancing the varied regional food and wine heritage ".
Even the Mayor of Cividale Daniela Bernardi expresses satisfaction: " The collaboration between the Municipality and the Wine Tourism Movement for some years has led to successful food and wine events in Cividale. On 5 and 6 August next the City will host the event Calici di Stelle, with which the Wine Tourism Movement of Friuli Venezia Giulia intended to pay homage to the ten years of registration of Cividale in the WHL Unesco. It is an event that tends to enhance our territory also from the food and wine point of view, an important sector, an added value particularly appreciated by tourists and visitors. I thank the President Elda Felluga and the Movement for the attention they have reserved for us and which we hope will lead to the creation of another renowned Christmas event, at the end of the initiatives for the celebration of the UNESCO tenth anniversary " .
The event will also take place in case of bad weather and in full compliance with the regulations for the containment of Covid-19 ; for this reason, access to the tastings takes place only after purchasing the special kit in advance on the website www.vinodila.it , consisting of a glass and the respective bag that will allow you to freely taste the wines offered and delight yourself with 5 gastronomic tastings (€ 30.00). Members of Wine for You, the wine club of the Movimento Turismo del Vino FVG, will be entitled to a discount of € 5.00 reserved for them.
During the evenings there will be space for interesting moments of study on the wines for tasting with the direct involvement of the producers , who will be available to the public for curiosities and questions on the exceptional enological and gastronomic heritage of these production areas. During the two evenings you can get to know the regional companies: Arzenton, Bon Cristina, Bulfon, Cantina Puntin, Dorigo, Elio Vini, Ferrin Paolo, Grillo Iole, Il Roncal, La Magnolia, Le Due Torri, Marinig di Valerio Marinig, Parovel Vigneti Oliveti 1898 , Rocca Bernarda, Scarbolo Sergio, Spolert Winery, Torre Rosazza and Villa Russiz .
In addition, your tastings will be enriched by the proposals of the ducal restaurants Ristorante Il Fortino, Pizzeria Flôr 2020, Savors il Laboratorio del Gusto, Prosciuttificio Morgante and Olio Ducale .
Finally, do not miss Calici di Stelle ... in the cellar : various farms will host events and experiences directly at their "home" in the period between July 31st and August 15th. Participants in the initiative: Elio Vini , Ferrin Paolo (Dinner in the vineyard, Monday 9), I Magredi (Aperitif with art, Friday 6), Stanig (Think Pink - Rosé and arrosticini, Saturday 31) and Vidussi (Dinner, Friday 6).

Spirito di Vino returns to Cividale del Friuli
On Sunday 30 May the registrations for the 22nd International "Spirito di Vino" competition opened, which is annually organized by MTVFVG and collects the most beautiful and biting satirical cartoons on the theme of wine made by cartoonists from all over the world. Participants, divided into two categories - under and over 35 - can send their unpublished works until October 16, 2021 ; the first 3 classified in each category will win a selection of bottles of wine from the members of the Movement.
To seal the collaboration with the Municipality of Cividale del Friuli, the awards will take place in December in the Cloister of Santa Maria in Valle, seat of the Territory Showcase organized by the Municipality.
