“Fascetta d’Oro”: the first national wine competition of Prosecco Conegliano Valdobbiadene

Mipaaf authorized “Fascetta d’Oro”, the first national wine competition of Prosecco Conegliano Valdobbiadene.


Unpli Treviso, coordinating the organizing committee of the Primavera del Prosecco Superiore festival, announced that Conegliano Valdobbiadene will have its first national competition.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry authorized Unpli Treviso, in agreement with the Italian Oenologists Oenotechnicians Association, to organize the first wine competition, “Fascetta d’Oro”, for Conegliano Valdobbiadene and its excellent wine products.

The jury will meet on June 20th 2014 to reward the winners, and the award ceremony of the Prosecco winners is scheduled for June 27th at Enoteca Veneta in Conegliano.

The manufacturers present at the 15 Exhibitions of Primavera del Prosecco, famous for wine tourism event in the Treviso area, can enroll from 10th to 12t June. Samples will be collected at the seat of the Wine Exhibition of San Pietro di Barbozza.


The jury of “Fascetta d’Oro”

The jury of the “Fascetta d’Oro” competition will be composed of four oenologists and wine technicians appointed by the Italian Oeonogists and Oenotechnicians Association and of a journalist or expert in the wine Sector appointed by the organizer.


The prizes of the contest of Prosecco

Depending on the scores obtained, wines will receive the Award of Merit, Fascetta di Bronzo, Fascetta d’Argento, Fascetta d’Oro and Gran Fascetta d’Oro, for the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG wine that will obtain the best score in absolute.

The new competition includes two separate sections in which all the wines of the hilly territory of Treviso can participate.
