The hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore continue the new way to become a World Heritage Site. They are the first territory to enter the Italian "Tentative List" of the World Heritage nominations.
At the headquarters of Treviso Province there was a meeting of the "ATS Colline di Conegliano Valdobbiadene Patrimonio dell’Umanità", the Veneto Region supports its candidacy. «To bring the horizon of this milestone closer, the recent deliberations of the Veneto Region, which has always supported the project also from the economic and institutional point of view». So Innocente Nardi, Chairman of the Consortium of Prosecco di Conegliano e Valdobbiadene DOCG and of the "ATS (Associazione Temporanea di Scopo) Colline di Conegliano Valdobbiadene Patrimonio dell’Umanità".
The hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene are an important cultural landscape of unique value, mingling art history, traditional working culture and innovation.
Moreover, in 1876 in Conegliano the first Wine School in Italy was founded.
The flagship product is Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore, which has become a true symbol of Italy and one of the most successful in the world sparkling wines.
