Compared Carpenè generations at Vinitaly: on Monday, April 7th, the stand of the famous company of Conegliano hosts the presentation of the research on Wine "CARPENE’...DOCG GENERATIONS”

By the students of the “New technologies for Made in Italy in the wine and food sector” Technical Institute Foundation in Conegliano. New Generations contribute to the Prosecco phenomenon stretched to a future full of energy and opportunities.

Carpenè Malvolti, since 1868 synonymous with continuous innovation and tradition, has chosen the stage of Vinitaly to represent its new horizon of communication that highlights both the centrality of the Historic Mark and the Territory in its most virtuous wine declination: Prosecco Superiore DOCG.

At Vinitaly a forward–looking research project, conducted with the help of the Institute of Oenology in Conegliano, will be presented. Thanks to research "CARPENE’... DOCG GENERATIONS" has been implemented, a survey on the "Prosecco phenomenon" made by the students of the “New technologies for Made in Italy in the wine and food sector” Foundation, based at the Cerletti Wine School of Conegliano, in the presence of Rosanna Carpenè, representing the fifth generation of the family history, who is now the President of the Foundation.

"CARPENE’...DOCG GENERATIONS” at Vinitaly

The project studies Prosecco in all its social aspects with attention to the way in which new generations interpret this wine and how it is perceived in terms of consumption, visibility and product knowledge.

Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G. knows no crisis and in the latest ten years grew by 74%, with an annual average of 11%. The consumption of this wine of friendly profile, but at the same time fine and appreciated all over the world, especially by young people, has been growing hand in hand with the discovery of new ways of sharing and a progressive seasonal adjustment that has cleared the image of a celebratory wine linked to occasions. Statistics have shown that the "Prosecco phenomenon" continues to experience growth in terms of quantity and culture to a greater extent where it is widespread among the younger generations, the ritual of happy hour – of which it stands out as the undisputed prince for its freshness and for its cheerfulness – and where its consumption is linked to the idea of the "Italian lifestyle symbol".

The prospects for the future are good and the medium– and long–term further confirm this trend.

The Foundation

The "New technologies for Made in Italy in the wine and food Sector" Technical Institute Foundation was established on November 3rd, 2010.
