The new president illustrates the objectives of the denomination: teaming up with the Prosecco System, involving all the players in the wine supply chain and local authorities.

The Board of Directors following the Shareholders' Meeting of last May 21st elected him unanimously; the vice-presidents are Claudio Galosi and Salvatore Feletti. A mandate based on dialogue is therefore envisaged, where all the components of the territory can have a voice.

“In my experience as an administrator I have always worked to connect people, so my objective as president is to create a constructive discussion between the parties involved - explains Noal -. Both large companies and small producers must feel represented by the Consortium and it is clear that one needs the other: large brands open markets where small ones can enter, very often with high quality products capable of attracting interest of criticism. Furthermore, the territory of Asolo and Montello enjoys a particularly valuable viticultural heritage, thanks to the presence of native vines such as the Recantina: an excellence that certainly deserves to be valorised".

Noal intends to involve not only the actors in the supply chain, but also the local administrations and local authorities : "Weaving constructive relationships with all parties is fundamental for a coordinated promotional action: the Asolo area is included in the Reserve List of the Biosphere according to the UNESCO MaB (Man and Biosphere) program, and together with other entities such as the Asolo and Montello Wine Route and the Bosco del Montello Consortium, it is our duty to enhance the wonderful landscape that surrounds us. Precisely from this perspective it is essential to listen and interact with local administrations not only on tourism, but also on issues related to the protection of these places.

Michele Noal is at the helm of a continuously growing denomination, Asolo Prosecco has in fact already recorded a 15.6% increase in the first months of 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year: “The real challenge to which a Consortium of protection - continues the president - is that of stability: the more the wine entrepreneur can count on certainties, the better he will be able to move on the markets, and create value to be redistributed throughout the territory. It is our intention, therefore, to use all the tools to avoid price fluctuations and ensure the best conditions for businesses."

With respect to the other Prosecco denominations , Noal intends to reopen a collaborative dialogue to create synergy and coordinate actions aimed at valorising the three areas: " The Prosecco System must recover its vocation as a promotional driving force , without forgetting the institutional tasks linked to the protection that the legislation entrusts us. It is not just a question of optimizing resources, but it is the consumer who asks for it: it is therefore appropriate to send a clear and unambiguous message, even in the presence of the most important trade fairs in the sector, while respecting the specificities. Our Consortium can play a leading role in the varied world of Prosecco by bringing with it a unique heritage, whose mosaic is made up of biodiversity, an artistic and cultural panorama with international echoes and landscapes of rare beauty".

Furthermore, a great innovation is represented by the project which sees the establishment of three commissions dedicated respectively to promotion, to the agronomic sector - to address health issues - and to agronomic technical issues , to regulate new plants and yields. The commissions may be made up of members of the Board of Directors, open to members interested in participating, and technicians from trade associations.
