The best wines and restaurants of Puglia. The two 2014 guides published by Tirsomedia have been issued: “VinidiPuglia”, on its editorial debut, and “La Puglia è Servita”, a food and wine handbook now in its 18th edition.
A guide is created, another grows. This is the launch phrase of “VinidiPuglia” and “La Puglia è Servita”, two publishing initiatives by Tirsomedia.
The two guides are suitable for wine and gastronomy experts of the territory, fans and curious.
La Puglia è Servita
214 pages divided into ten sections: 19 fish restaurants, 68 restaurants, 21 taverns, 12 “fornelli”, 26 wineries, 18 farmhouses, 26 bed & breakfasts, 39 residences and 16 barrels & bottles, 5 oils & mills and 5 “tipicittà”, fanciful directions where to buy handicrafts and agri–food products in the area.
The structures that obtained the highest approval in the twelve months are:
best fish restaurant:“Taverna Le Rune” of Torre a Mare (Ba), restaurants section award: “La Locanda Di Nunno” of Canosa di Puglia (Bt), taverns section award: “Alogne” of Cursi (Le), best “fornello”: “La Braceria” of Locorotondo (Ba), best winery: “Giro di Vite” of Crispiano (Ta). In the farmhouses section, award to “Masseria Cervarolo” of Ostuni (Br), for B&B award to “Gli Orti di Malva” of Peschici (Fg), best “residence” to Masseria Potenti of Manduria (Ta). Finally, the best “emerging chef” to Carmine Chiarelli, twenty–one year old chef of Masseria Petrino of Palagianello (Ta), best winery the one of the Pashà Restaurant of Conversano (Ba), and Lifetime Achievement Award to Franco Ricatti, owner of the Bacchus Restaurant in Bari.
Vini di Puglia 2014
The guides has the mission to find out the best products of Puglia. This is the task of a multifaceted committee composed of highly professional wine experts, tasters and sommeliers representatives of the Assoenologi, ONAV and AIS Associations, and of selected restaurateurs from Puglia, in charge of tasting about 400 wines.
It presents a comprehensive and up–to–date overview on regional wine production, with 192 pages devoted to the presentation of 132 companies and over 1,200 mentioned labels.
Rich and comprehensive data sheets, one for each wine, prepared to guide the readers–consumers in the vast regional wine panorama for the year 2014.
