On the program, free and guided tastings inside and outside Palazzo Maffei of the over 60 wines in review, moments of in-depth analysis, "taste show" at the new Fuori di Taste space, visits to the local wineries, trekking and bicycle rides among the vineyards, a dinner under the stars along the Viale di Cembra and much more, including the chance to see the vineyard terraces of the valley from above on board a helicopter.

The XXXIV Müller Thurgau: Mountain Wine review is approaching and the rich program begins to take shape which, despite the difficulties linked to Covid-19, the Exhibition Committee has managed to set up, thanks to the support of Trentino Marketing and the coordination of the Road del Vino e dei Sapori del Trentino as part of the promotion of provincial wine events, #trentinowinefest .

The inauguration is scheduled for Thursday 29 July , starting at 6.00 pm , at the Tre Maestri Park in Cembra. The appointment will also see a moment of celebration dedicated to the late Sergio Ferrari , esteemed professor and journalist, as well as a point of reference in the world of agriculture and oenology in Trentino, who passed away at the beginning of the year.

The award ceremony of the XVIII International Wine Competition Müller Thurgau will follow on Friday 30 July , starting at 20.30 at the new Fuori di Taste space, conducted by the TV presenter of Linea Verde and soul of the radio program Decanter Federico Quaranta , accompanied by the expertise of Rosaria Benedetti, professional sommelier and Trentino Alto Adige Wine Woman, enriched by the finger food of the new Cembrano restaurant Ca 'dei Volti. On this occasion, the 17 winners of this year will be revealed, all with a Gold Medal given the scores above 85.

At the end of this moment, the conductor will be the protagonist of the “taste show” Forty shades of Müller , in which the tastings will be accompanied by food proposals and curiosities and anecdotes about the world of wine.

Saturday 31 July opens instead at 10.00 with a more touristic proposal, with the guided Trekking among the vineyards , a path that can be traveled - upon reservation by Tuesday 27 July - also by e-bike to try the experience of living the impervious climbs of the valley from a different and privileged point of view, with a final rustic lunch .

At the same time, but at the library of Palazzo Maffei, the presentation of the book “ The terraced vineyards of the Cembra Valley ”, by the ViVaCe Committee (Viticulture Valle di Cembra), is also scheduled.

At 5.30 pm it will be the turn of the comparison between the wines of the Cembra Valley and the wines of the Valtellina, always within the Fuori di Taste space, followed at 18.30 by Baby tasting , where the little ones can learn to recognize the aromas and flavors of cheeses , juices and jams thanks to the guide of Stefania Decarli, while parents can relax while tasting a glass of Müller Thurgau or other wines from the Cembra Valley.

Starting at 7.00 pm , the appointment is on the main road that crosses Cembra for Viale dei Sapori , where it will be possible to taste a complete menu prepared by three local restaurateurs paired with a selection of local wines.

The evening can also be concluded with an original cocktail based on grappa by Müller Thurgau , prepared by expert barmen thanks to the precious collaboration with the Istituto Tutela Grappa del Trentino .

Finally, on Sunday 1 August , the bravest will be able to board the helicopter and enjoy the panorama of the terraces planted with vines from above , for selfies and “high altitude” sharing.

All of this, of course, surrounded, over the course of the four days, by the traditional tastings of the over 60 Müllers from the Alps participating in the review proposed both in the halls of Palazzo Maffei and in the outdoor spaces , by visits to the local cellars and other events. thematic, such as the visit to the vineyard of Vigna delle Forche , the highest in the valley, organized by Cembra mountain winery, scheduled for Friday 30 July at 5.30 pm , and the Prodigal Son of the Pelz Brothers , scheduled for Friday 30 and Saturday 31 July , 6.30 pm, at the Pelz winery , with 5 vintages of their Müller Thurgau (Friday 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019; Saturday 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020), commented by Marco Larentis and Italo Maffei.
