“In Asia, especially South Korea and Vietnam, we found operators who do not look only at the price, but at products that represent a territory”. These are the words of Alberto Vaccari, President of the winery.
Already present in Europe (Germany, Latvia and Spain) and in Latin America (Mexico, Chile and French Guadeloupe), the Formigine Pedemontana Wienry now looks to the East.
The winery has been working with Japan for a few years now begins to move to China, and to be known in China the wine cooperative in late July will participate in a wine fair in Beijing.
«In Asia, especially South Korea and Vietnam, we found operators who do not look only at the price, but at products that represent a territory – the president of the Formigine Pedemontana winery Alberto Vaccari says – the same applies to very large markets such as the United States and Brazil. Even in Northern Europe tastes are changing; once consumers demanded a very sweet and low cost Lambrusco. Now, however, they appreciate more and more a quality product, both dry and sweet. For this reason – Vaccari continues – we developed the In Principio line, which is characterized by the initial selection of the grapes and the processing respectful of typicality. The three wines in this line are rich and sincere products where you can find all the qualities of the varieties they come from. A particularly important role is also played by Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro organic, which we consider our business card to show how we consider the territory».
The Formigine Pedemontana winery, with more than 100 thousand quintals of grapes delivered each year and more than 300 members, is a cooperative adherent to Confcooperative and is the largest Modena winery in the south of Via Emilia. Last year it exceeded one million bottles and continues to receive praise. At the 21st Vinitaly international wine competition, held at Verona Exhibition Centre from March 27th to 31st, the Fromigine winery won a bronze medal with the Lambrusco IGT Emilia sparkling rosé “Tramontino” 2013 and a honorable mention with Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro doc sparkling sweetish “Rosso Fosco” 2013.
